How It Works?

1. Free Virtual or In Salon Consultation

 Our experienced team will guide you through a personalized virtual consultation to discuss the types of units, budget, and eligibility

2. Eligibility Verification:

Check your insurance policy to see if it covers cranial prostheses. Some insurance policies may provide coverage for this, while others may not. Cranial Prosthesis (WIG) Procedure (HCPCS) Codes: A9282, 99199, L8499.

We work directly with your insurance provider or VA benefits coordinator to verify your eligibility for a free Cranial Prosthesis.

3. Get a Prescription From Your Healthcare Provider

Your healthcare provider, such as a dermatologist, oncologist, or primary care physician, can prescribe a cranial prosthesis for medical reasons. The prescription should include a diagnosis and a recommendation for the type of prosthesis needed.

4. Schedule a Consultation

Once you have your prescription, we’ll schedule a consultation to go over the details of your Cranial Prosthesis. We’ll discuss:

  • Fit and comfort

  • Hair type (human or synthetic)

  • Style preferences

  • Color, length, and more

  • Customization: Each unit is tailored to ensure a natural look and comfortable fit, helping you regain confidence and feel your best.

5. Receive Your Custom Cranial Prosthesis

  1. We follow up with your insurance provider: Keep track of your claim and follow up with your insurance provider to ensure that it is being processed. If your claim is denied, ask for an explanation and find out if there are any options for appeal.

It's always a good idea to review your policy, speak with your healthcare provider, and contact your insurance provider directly with any questions or concerns.

  • Chemotherapy or radiation therapy

  • Alopecia (Areta, Totalis, Universalis)

  • Gastric bypass or bariatric surgery

  • Lupus

  • Burn injuries

  • Trichotillomania (hair-pulling disorder)

  • Thyroid disorders
